Oh man thats awesome i bet its ablast to shoot around with. Just bought a nikon for my 270 hope to shoot it today. Swamp people still on tv? That troy is a stand up guy from things i have read
5 Oinkers down. I went around Luther yesterday and got 5 pigs. I got 3 from a ladder stand and 2 spot and stalk. The 3 from ladder I got with my 300 Blackout, Remington Hog Hammer 130gr TSX bullets and Omega 9K suppressor. A sounder of 6 came in. Big sow stuck her head out from behind tree and caught a hog hammer and went straight down and did the curly shuffle. The rest werent sure what to do and not sure where the noise came from. I picked out another and put another hog hammer in its boiler room. It ran a few yards, more curly shuffle. Then I heard rustling in leaves behind stand. 2 more were trying to sneak away. Another hammer to the head. More curly shuffle. Got down and delt with the 3. Went back to truck and changed out weapons. I grabbed my CZ Scorpion. I was given some new 9mm Ammo to try out and figured a pig would be a good test bed. It’s from a company here in OKC called Seismic Ammo. It’s a 185gr bullet that looks just like a black talon. Yes, you read that correctly, 185 gr 9mm. Me and my buddy could hear hogs all over in the timber, so in we went. We kept stalking closer to the sounds. Finally we could see some coming our way. We knelt down on the trail and saw one coming right at us. At 20 yards I put a 9mm in his head. Down he went. We moved on down trail towards more grunting and squealing. My buddy got a shot with his blackout and hit one. It started squealing and spinning. Then managed to limp away. We went in pursuit. He saw it and yelled at me. I saw it for a split second and snapped off a shot. Since I was suppressed I heard the bullet impact. It kept moving and next clear spot I fired 3 quickly to the head/neck area. It went down and you guessed it, curly shuffle. Those 9mm went plum through and blew stuff out the backside. So,I would say it’s some good stuff. Now I’m not saying go hunt big hogs with it, just saying if that’s all you got and with proper shot placement, it will work. Now my buddy wants a 9mm carbine and this Ammo. Funnest hog hunt I’ve been on. I had my 10mm on my hip, but didn’t use it. Maybe next time.
