    Nothing super exciting. She and another doe hopped the fence north of me and we're feeding in a fescue field. I figured they would hop back over to the east and hit my feeder but they did exactly what I didn't expect and headed directly towards me from almost straight downwind from my stand.

    She was walking with her head down until she got to about 20 yards. She stopped and spooked. Headed back to towards the field and then stopped again broadside at 30 yards. It was either let her bust me or take the shot.

    Decided it was a great chance for a first shot with the new crossbow.

    I think I'll keep it.

    I'm kind of surprised you only got that much penetration. Using a Mechanical broadhead?

    Yep. I think it hit the opposite shoulder.

    How fast is crossbow. Mines 375. Went through so fast I thought I missed

    1 coon and 1 grinner. DP for coon. Live trap for grinner. Dumped him out and shot as it tried to run up tree.
