Outdoor Junkies, this is your forum to post pics and stories.

Team captains, will post their team's score in their team's forum. Team members will not post points!!!

Each species has a set point value (new point system this year). Please review that list.

Every mammal or bird harvested must be photographed in order to receive points, as has always been the rule.
You need be in the photo along with YOUR harvest. .
If no one is around to take a photo of you and YOUR harvest then have something in the photo that identifies you.

Please share your story as well about your hunt or fishing trip when you post your picture for points.

If you have ANY GRIEVANCE contact your team captain AND me (which may also be me) with your issue.

Finally getting around to posting this.

Last Friday I was off of work, and planned to hunt morning and evening. I got in my stand and just before legal shooting light I get a text. It's my boss, "call me when you can, I need you to go out on a job". So, I get down and head to work. Now I'm grumpy and hurrying to get home to make the evening hunt. I finish my job, and make it home at 6pm. I decided to hunt in my work clothes due to having the perfect wind for this location. I finally get settled in my stand at 6:27pm. This is a stand that I through up in the woods at a spot that looked good just to get it out of the yard. I had other people in my good stands. 7:04 6 does came out behind me and just milled about across the creek 30yrds away. At 7:11pm one finally gave me a shot. Shooting behind me, through a shooting lane the size of a beach ball at 30yrds I hit her just a hair back. We have her 30 minutes and went to check the arrow. Good blood in the arrow and the tree next to where she was standing. I let the boys track her. They found her about 75yrds away. It was a fun ending to an aggravating day.

Unfortunately the older boys didn't see anything from their stand. The little girl hunting our main spot shot a 144" buck, not bad for her first buck.

    And on to the next.

The family that hunted our main spot on Friday told me that they were seeing a flock of turkeys in and out all evening. Saturday my brother and I sat in that stand. As soon as we walked up the turkeys were there. They left as we walked up. We got settled in the blind, and discussed our plan for the afternoon. If turkeys came out I was shooting, if deer came out he was shooting. About 45 minutes later the turkeys showed back up. They worked to within 15 yards and I shot my first turkey with a bow. It dropped right where it was standing, so we grabbed it and threw it under the stand and finished our hunt. Right before the end of shooting light a half rack buck came in. He made a great shot, and got his first deer in almost 10 years.

Sorry, this is the only picture I have of the turkey.

Slick down last night right at sunset. She was facing me at 120 yards and I put a Powerbelt in her chest. This morning I saw 2 huge bucks just out of range. I’m out now praying they will return this evening.
