    Not really. He kept falling down about every hundred yards or so. He would stop and we'd get good blood, but then we might get a speck or two of blood after a while. We'd spend 20 minutes or more in one spot just trying to pick up the trail. Still can't believe it.

    Thankfully we weren't looking the entire time. After I shot him, I saw him barely able to get up to his feet and crawl a ways. I figured I'd back out and let him expire. We went back in about 1030 and bumped him. We trailed him about 100 yards to the fence where there's an open field. He barely got over the fence, hair everywhere. We decided to take a breakfast break and came back around noon. We have permission to hunt the neighbors. From the fence, it took us 2.5 hours to get across the half-miler section where he was laying.
