The guy with no long range experience still got his but it was an ugly shot. He didn’t adjust for the wind and got it way far back. He finished it as well as the other guy that made a shot that was a tad low and took out the front legs.
    Good day with a ton of work after.
    Better than getting into them in the evening.
    That would've been one long night.

    Congrats! That's so awesome. I am halfway committed to go on a DIY bow hunt for elk in Colorado this September with a colleague at work. We're using traditional bows only, at least that is our plan. He only ever shoots a longbow, has all his life. I'm trying to work up from my 40lb limbs to my 50lb limbs on my recurve by then. Elk hunting is on my bucket list.
