    Any ideas?

This is the third deer I've gotten on camera now with the deep long scarring on the sides. Any idea what's causing it? Oh and dont pay any attention to the crazy little deformed thing behind him. Someone needs to put it out of its misery. Surprised it lasted another season.

Looks like someone shot it's lower jaw off. Wonder if the scarring is where they are scratching from ticks/mosquitoes ans such?
America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards.

I’d say it from scratching and not scaring. The hair is just cut is all. We have deer all over town here with those same marks.

I think its from running in panic mode through woods, most likely in the dark.
I've seen those on our yard deer.
