    I've got a bunch of culls running around this place too. Probably going to take the wife out and see if she can shoot one.

    Not half racks...but one side is buggered up while the other looks decent.

    Don't want them breeding.

    Culling doesn't work unless your in a high fence designated breeding type situation where you know what buck bred which doe. I could he wrong but I think I read somewhere that antler growth is transferred more from the doe than the buck I could be wrong about that though. I take weirdos out of the herd all the time when the freezer is empty! Hopefully your wife can get a tag on one!

    You are correct. In my animal science genetics class in college the whitetail doe passes dominant paternal genes.

    My brother in law culled bucks and never shot does until someone mentioned it to him the rag heads straightned up after a few years

    I like taking does early on I don't get why people wait late in the year for their does. If you don't then the herd so everyone can eat your not getting big deer easy as that

    We are covered up in does. The last spotlight survey in September showed 45-1 in favor af the does.
