    Any news on the band info? Can’t imagine it having traveled all that far like waterfowl do. I caught a tagged founder back in Virginia once. Was tagged the week before and less than a mile away.

    Oddly enough one of the members of the hunting party that day was a wildlife biologist from Oklahoma State University. He took the band number and reported it. He also told us that he was likely involved in the banding of that particular bird as he was present when birds were banded about a mile from where this one was shot late last summer. He was super excited to see a banded bird taken in the field.

    Hunted with two of my favorite guys. Fun, easygoing and hard hunting men from Michigan. They shoot intelligently and well and they bring good dogs with them. So much of why I love this sport!
