    Micro Trophy Hunting

Okay, I thought I would share this as it is on the lighthearted side of things. I put this together some time ago when I was on my 2nd or 3rd night of hunting my place (just south of the Red River) for a hog that had been raiding my feeders, but that had not shown up while I was there. It is amazing where you mind goes, sometimes, in the dark, for hours at a time...

Many of you thought I was an only child for lo these many years. But...but I have been hiding a lie. I lost my older brother when we we just kids, foolish kids. We were 8 & 9 yrs old when we shot a wood rat with a toy bow & arrow, it wounded the lil trophy rat and it charged us. It was headed right for me when Clem jumped in front of me and took the brunt of the lil woody's charge. It... it was a gruesome image to see the carnage. Sadly, Clem did not survive the attack and I have been haunted ever since.
So please heed Double Naught Spy's words of caution when attempting to take one of these heinous beasts.

Poor Clem. No doubt he will always be a hero, well remembered for his valiant, selfless act.

With that said, hunting from an elevated position is a good idea, preferably not a tree as they can readily climb trees...

Totally agree, one of the reasons I'm looking on Ebay for an AH-64 Apache gunship. Have 2 bids for $74.97, I hope they win. Clem will be revenged!
