As far as fishing goes there are quite a few options. Like Dennis mentioned Kaw is a good one. I spend a lot of time over there in the spring snagging spoonbill. Then you have the Salt Plains to the NW. Good catfish fishing there and you can also let the kids dig for Selenite Crystal's on the flats which was always a hot with my children. Canton lake is another good fishing hole. Most people know it for Walleye but there is some good opportunity for hybrid striped bass and sand bass. Canton also has public hunting over there. Good spot for deer, turkeys, ducks and some hogs. Watonga lake is not far from there either in Roman Nose State Park. Another good place to take the family. There is plenty to do in this state for the outdoor family if you know where to look.
