    Hello to all

As I approach 63 years old Iím reminded I need to make more out-of-state trips before time and legs runs out lol.
Hoping to utilize my traditional gear more going forward I am targeting public lands with higher all around deer counts.
Currently looking at James Collins WMA as itís a short day drive from home in South Louisiana.

Hopefully things will work out for a trip this fall.
    Good luck to all.
    Best,

First off, welcome to the site! You'll like James Collins WMA! It has 3 different types of terrain to choose from. The north end is like western Okla, with wide open rolling hills and lots of cedar trees. Then the center portion is black jack pastures moderate hills and medows. Then to the east and southern sides is more (for Oklahoma) mountains, ridges and pine trees. Good roads through out and lots of oil well sites. Bring a fishing pole as well, there are some good ponds to fish, too.
America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards.
