OKC mayor wants to see the debate over the new Open Carry bill to be put to a vote instead of being enacted on 1 Nov. Well, why not? He knows that OKC & Tulsa carry the bulk of Oklahoma population and he hopes that the the two metro areas could defeat the bill.

Whatís frightening is that people will sign any petition no matter what it says because they feel like they are doing something while in reality not understanding exactly what it is they are signing for.

I hope a lot of folks refuse to sign the petition. I just don't understand how all the doom and gloom prophecies are believed and Oklahoma is not even close to being the first state to do this. Plus, they are cutting it really close with November just around the corner.

    Letís just hope they fail.
Iíve read that 67% of Oklahomaís population lives in the OKC and Tulsa area. Donít know if they are going outside of the metro areas for signatures, but I canít see them getting enough signatures in this short of time.

Itís the same law. The mayor is hoping the petition will delay its start in November so it would then come up for another statewide vote in 2020.

Without a doubt. Just watch, the mayor is going to run for a federal office.

So we may not have constitutional concealed carry come November?
Still confused because you mentioned open carry.
    What am I missing?
