I didn't think Toyota engines ever needed rebuilt? I put 365,000 on mine and the guy I sold it to had it over 400,000 when he sold it to get something bigger. Change oil, change air filter, repeat....

I've heard of these mythical older Toyotas not to cloud up your post and I apologize. But are the newer models just as good is my question or riding coattails?

    Try EBay motors?

The one I'm running is the original 1982 & has 345,000 on it but is starting to get a little blow by, not bad but a little so I'm just getting ready to build it's replacement.

Appreciate the eBay tip but I'll want to inspect it in person first

    Already rebuilt - https://www.sandjengines.com/promo/t...SAAEgI2afD_BwE

    Not rebuilt- Quality Used Engines

Might do a Google search for "Import salvage in Oklahoma" and add Tulsa or OKC which ever is closest to you.

Thank you to those who replied, I purchased a Buick v6 and transmission combo adapted for a Toyota so my search is over, I'll start building the Buick engine this summer. Thanks again

My wife has a '99 Isuzu Trooper and it runs a GM tranny, I've been wanting to put a small V-8 in it for ever. All the V6 wiring will plug right up even.
