Flooding in my neck of the woods.

Every river and lake in the area is currently flooded. Arkansas, Chikaskia, and Salt fork Rivers.
Kaw Lake is less than 11 feet from going over the dam and rising. More rain coming tonight.
Buddy that works for the COE said they are going to open the flood gates on Kaw to pretty much max in an attempt to relieve pressure on the dam.
I live below the dam a few miles but we are on high ground so any flooding will not effect us. SE parts of Ponca will see flooding as well as low areas and feeder creeks/rivers down stream.
Channel 6 out of Tulsa had a news crew below the dam this afternoon while I was out there.

Chikaskia River flooding our range road.

Walnut river is out of its banks in Winfield. The fairgrounds are 10 to 14 feet under. East of Ark City towards the roundabout is flooded worse than I've ever seen.

I go that way to Sedan fairly often and wondered if that area by the round about flooded easily, looked like it would. Will be in Ponca Sunday for a while, will have to check out Kaw while we're there.

By Sunday it should go down a bit because of the major water discharge.

Sandy park may be under water now. All 8 Tainter gates are open 3.5’. That’s a lot of water moving down stream.

Open 4’ now. Downstream flooding is happening from some texts I’ve been getting.
