Big loud scream this evening as my wife and girls started supper and that was followed by "Oh hell no. I'm burning this mot$!%!@er down if you don't find this snake". All 3 of them are in the wife and mines bed. Supper didn't get cooked and I've been pretty busy on the hunt for reptiles. This shed skin was in our pantry. Not the first snake that's been in our house. It's the first they know of. Been a handful more that luckily I got out before the were discovered discovered. Ohhh Booyyy it's gonna be interesting around here for awhile.
Black snake skin. I have a 6’ in my shop that comes and goes. No mice in my shop with seed bags not far off the ground on pallets. They eat other snakes so they get a pass
Really docile. Ours goes by the front window occasionally and looks inside. Freeks the wife out as we had a 4’ come under the screen door and crawl up the side of the natural stone fireplace before she saw it two feet away from her.
Lots of sparks and chipped stone after she took the shovel to it.
There are pics of it available for search on this forum. My signal at this moment is so poor I can’t post pics.
Yes definitely a black snake but it might as well be 26 foot copperheadedrattlemocasinconstrictor cause that's what they think it is. Found shed skin in attic also
Do not wake your wife and kids up in the morning by dragging a lead rope from a halter across them and saying "nobody move, I got him right here" and then jumping on them in the bed. My attempt to lighten the situation has once again backfired.
I went out to the car port to use my phone about a month ago. As I stepped off the back step glanced to my right and there was a 7 foot blacksnake lying up against the house.I got the wife's broom and used the handle to slide him out into the yard. Eventually he went the right direction and went in to the tall grass at yard's edge. My wife said where is my broom and I told her right here! Never said anything else because I already knew what reaction I would get.
I've been ordered to come home from Germany before because of a snake in the pantry ( I didn't come home) and all sorts of funny stories because of snakes around the house/deck/shop building.
And yes Murph, you are lucky to still walk the planet after that stunt!!!
