    Holy Cow, Is It Spring?

    Plumb thickets and Bradford Pears are blooming like crazy already. Is it spring? I don't get too cocky until I see the blackjacks bloom.

    I just spent 3 days stuck up north as the roads were all closed do to snow and wrecks and I couldn’t get back home. Send some of that warm weather this way to melt everything.

    I cant wait for morels. Gathered around 15 pounds last spring. Hoping for another good season.

    You need to be looking out in the pastures. Way out in the middle. Best places are around the feed grounds and mineral tubs they have for their cattle. By no means do you want to look on southern facing hillsides with generous amounts of thickets and cedars are often wet.
