I was completely worthless today and it felt good. Those cold rainshowers came through about every hour all day so I sheltered in place. Haven't done that in awhile.

I have a central heat unit in my shop but decided to put in one of the double barrel wood burning stoves since we have some many self pruning trees in the yard for firewood. It was 50 degrees in the shop and needed to work on the latest project so I threw in some kindling and then some split logs. Used the propane fire starter to get it going and went to the house for a bit after turning on both ceiling fans.
About 45 minutes later came back into a blast furnace. I was surprised that the purlins weren't melting!
Actually it was 78 degrees in there and climbing. That beast will put out some heat! I have a hi temp magnetic thermometer that attaches to the stack. It was reading over 500 degrees. Could have slapped some beef on the drum and got a good sear. LOL.

Projected 57 degree high today. I don't have any thing to forge! SAD.

Starting to look like England type weather around here today.
America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards.
