    Chicken of the woods. But I'm always hesitant to give out shroom ID from a small pic on the web if you know what I mean. This is the time of the year to find it for sure, especially as it's been a little drier than usual.

    I may have found a patch of the ones your finding. All on dead wood the wind storm blew down. I can't remember if you told me the good ones had the webbing exposed underneath or they were solid, top and bottom.

    Hunted morels today. Walked almost 2 miles hitting the honey holes after this rain. Pretty cool yet, but we found 8. 3 for me in Osage County.

    Found 11 on Friday and only 3 on Sunday. All gone by Sunday night.

    Took it to Co. extension Office. They agree chicken of the woods. Found 2 more big ones today and cut and cleaned about half of the chicken to try.
    If you see an obit for Michael E. Miller of Chandler you will know they were wrong!
