Well,
Since we had Christmas yesterday.
It was time to go use some new presents... ;D
I got a box of~ Federal Premium~ "Black Cloud" 12 Gauge 3" 1 1/4 oz of #3 shot.

I would of thought more of it...With all the hype it has been getting.
I had 2 dumby rounds in the box they didn't go BOOM!!!
Shot the entire box up this morning due to crappy ammo...It's $20.99 a box. ??? :

The G.W. Teal only took 1 round but my Pintail took all 3 to die.
I shot 12 other duck this morning as well- Mostly, Mallard with a Common Goldeneye & 3 Gadwall.
All of these quacker were only 30 yards out & just keep fly'n after all the feathers they left behind.

I got 4.

I have them figured out now.
It's a long walk to where it is great...So,I have only been back up in their a few time.
Been only walking 100-130 yards from my truck most of the hunts.

I am going in today or monday to submit my app and money for the lifetime license so I won't have to worry about anything but federal duck stamp...can't wait. Anyone have any idea if the license is instant once you go pay and all or do they mail it to ya?

It takes them about 1 minute to have it back to ya,Once ya pay them $776.00 BUCKS.

Yeah and laying down that $776 is gonna hurt..Gonna seem odd paying that for a card..lol I mean I could get a descent semi-auto shotgun for that...but gonna head there monday to get it done.. It's not far from the house so should be easy enough..

the newer ones ive seen are like credit cards. so no need to laminate

My lifetime H & F license is like the credit card.
If you don't laminate it [okchunter or anyone else.]They will fade off to wear you will have to pay $10.00 bucks down the road to get a replacement...As soon as 1 year...Like many of other hunting buddy's who choose not to @ first.

okchunter...It's well worth the money...It will only take 3 years to pay for itself.
Then your hunting & fishing for free the rest of your life.
My lifetime H & F license...Come Jan,1,09' is now all free.
Those 3 years went by super fast.

Mine cost 125 dollars...but at the time that was about a weeks wages and so I guess it all averages out..but one thing for sure is I've sure been proud of them..for the past 35 years...

Hmm didn't know that..Is that the case with all lifetime license fees? or was that just the first dollars? Either which way that's pretty cool. I do know I am going to enjoy not having to worry about anything but Federal Duck tags and HIP each year.
