With all of the renewed interest in hog hunting I am hosting a get together on the 21st of Febuary. This hunt will be north of cleveland off of Hwy 48.

This will be a two part hunt.

In the morning it will be spot and stalk along with the pheasant consept if we have enough to flush and shoot.

After the morning hunt we will bait the area. Go and get lunch and then come back and shoot some piggies in the evening.

If you are interested please post here and send me a pm with your number that way I can give you the major details.

The location we are going to is wooded and brushy. I will be hunting with a 12ga but just about anything is acceptable. I do recommend that you carry a side arm.

ALL OKLAHOMA HUNTING REGS ARE ENFORCED. So please have all of your paper work in order. There is a great little resturant that we can go to in Cleveland. Hope to see a lot of you up here.

Stay safe all,

Michael

I'm in. I can help set up and bait Fri night if needed. Lots of piggies in this spot for those that have not been there yet.

Looking forward to it!
Sorry buddy.
Wish,I could make it.
I got a N.W.T.F. dinner to go to for Hevi-Shot & Mossy Oak that evening.
Buddy if you can at least make the morning hunt you can crash at my house.

I don't have the funds buudy but thank you for the offer.
Money is always a problem,When your on a 1 person income.
Some day SSI has got to kick down what the owe my wife.
Yeah it's easy to get to..not a bad drive at all.
there were hogs there when we went last year, but just not that day. We found lots of tracks and wallows.
Spoke to the game warden a few days ago and he says that it is over run again. Hopefully we will have some good luck out there.

Handcannon and I will go out and bait it the evening of the 20th if we get enough interest.

I sure would like to join in....never killed a hog...except in a pen........anyway..count me in...I would even load up and bring the Rhino if you thought there would be a need for it..just let me know......Sasakwa
There may be a need for the rhino. The opening day of black powder this year they took a 600 pound boar out of this area. I do not want to drag that much weight back myself,

Give me a call

Michael
I'll talk to the wife and I may be able to join. I was thinking the $100 hunt but wife said can't swing the money so that's out. I'll see what I can do cause we sure had fun last year.
I'll tenativly put my name in the hat for this hunt. Have to see what work looks like. Sounds like a heck of a deal.
Well it sounds like there's enough interest, I'll pick up some corn and hog attractant and see if we can find a good wallow to bait on Friday. If we can get them to hang around should be a good day.

Another site I frequent says strawberry soda is the trick to attract them, along with the corn.
They also use "soured corn and wheat"? I don't know how you do that. Soak it in water for several days?
Yeah put it in a bucket for a week with water, a beer, add strawberry soda, let soak, and bring a gas mask when you dump it lol. Tulsahunter is verifying it's ok to bait on the public land before we do so, however.
Tulsahunter, if you get a chance would you check to make sure my Rhino is legal on gov. land also? I have heard it was legal and I've heard it wasn't..Thanks Buddy
Just spoke to the game warden.

Rhino :'( :'(

Bird is now my Rhino ;D ;D ;D

What kind of public ground is this? What time in the AM are you looking on starting?
