That would be awesome spending the day with someone who knows what they’re doing and where to look. Make sure you pass on whatever helpful information you learn. What all are you doing to your property?
Fire breaks around 160 acres so we can do a prescribed burn end of this year. Digging out a small pond to hopefully be around 1/2 acre and deep enough to hold/maintain fish. Putting in 4-5 acres new food plots and expanding existing ones 2-3 acres. Fixing power line road that keeps washing out. Lastly, dozer over a few trees around our bunkhouse and close to electric lines. This weekend I poured a small concrete pad to put up a skinning pole. going to be a busy spring/early summer.

That’s a lot of work for one year. It’s going to pay off eventually though.

Heck you guys are going to be busy for awhile hopefully you have plenty of help for that list of chores. Like Dennis said it will pay off, going to end up with a heck of a hunting camp.

A big dozer and a large trac hoe! He can knock over very big trees just leaning the bucket into them. Pretty amazing to watch.

Here's a mesonet link. It should be for current 4 hour soil temp. Okfuskee County is very close. Mesonet 4in soil temp

This coming cold spell will cool off the ground temps around NC Ok anyway. Supposed to have some lows in the 20's at night and 40's during the day.
