Well it has been a week since I went turkey hunting. Yesterday evening I decided to go this morning. It was still pretty dark because of the clouds so I just sat down next to a tree to wait for a little more light to see. I got up when could see a little better and I just sat had down where I wanted to setup when 2 toms and 4 hens flew off the roost about 10ft from me. I let them get about 20 yards from me and I picked out a tom then I shot and missed. About 8 left and came back home. I went back this afternoon. I was crossing the creek and when I got to the other side there i was a tom standing in the wide open giving me a perfect shot. Well I shot and missed again for the second time today. So again I left empty handed again. I going to try to go out again Sunday weather permitting. Hopefully I can get a bird. I sure don't like having days like this one.

The bird is a bonus, the prize was getting out in the woods and admiring all that was created for us to enjoy. You sir, had a great day it sounds like.
Good luck tomorrow keep at it and it will come together. You’ve got a pretty successful record.
Didn't get out today because of the rain. We got over 5" in 90 minutes this morning. This is how much water is in my pasture in front of my house.
I'm definitely going out in the morning.
