I noticed last year that I had a decent buck on camera minus a side on Dec 18th as well. I found the right side of my pair of 167" sheds last year on Jan 6th.

I think the hills of E Oklahoma are an anomaly.

I had a buck drop around this time. He had a horrible wound on his hip so it was easy to know it was him. Had pics of the red spots on his head so it was definitely a shed.
Don’t know if injuries caused that but suspect that to be the case.
I’ve also seen bucks that had one side of their antlers broken off at their bases.

I have another buck a couple miles from this location that’s missing one set of antlers as well.

I’ve read that testosterone levels are what cause horns to fall off. I guess some bucks T levels drop faster than others lol!!!

I’ve already got a couple bucks that have dropped a side, and my bet this year for dropping early is stress from the drought.

Saw a half rack this morning while I was out and about. Dink little forky but if he’s dropped others may have. Might be easier to find with all the snow.
Do y’all have antler buyers around your place? Each spring we get people from all over the country coming with trailers and they buy sheds. It’s crazy the amount they pay and how many they buy. Hundreds and hundreds of sheds piled in trucks and trailers. My area sucks in we can’t shed until May 1st by law.

I've been watching a few of the big bucks waiting for them to drop so I cam pick up the sheds. They're in the same spot every morning and still have both sides attached..

I was reading an article some where in the country once a year they sale antlers for an average $18 per-pound.

Easton and I walked until we wore out and only found 9 more sheds. Easton found 1, and I found the rest.

Coming from someone that’s spent a lot of time in the woods and never found any it’s crazy seeing how many you are finding. Pretty darn cool! That one on the top left shows some real potential I bet he’s a monster in a year or two!
