I have been wanting one for almost 30 years and finally broke down and got one this weekend. She is chambered in 44mag with a 10" barrel. She has packmayer grips both front and back and is topped off with a 2 1/2 to 7 power lighted scope.

What is the next barrel I need???

I think the moon is the limit for TC barrels. .44 mag will do anything around here up to 100 yds, and maybe a little more. ;D Nice purchase

I'd like to have one in 22.250. I think that'd be the bomb for varmits, turtles and paper out of a Contender. Still be fairly cheap to shoot and ammo is still on the shelves.

Very nice guns. I considered buying one but went with the S&W 500 instead. I seriously considered one of the Contenders. I think the only reason I went with the S&W 500 was because I primarily hunt big game and dangerouse game with a bow and figured the S&W 500 would be what I needed for back up. Real nice buy on your part. Congrats. Who knows maybe I will buy one some day.

Upgraded mine to an Encore several years back. Have a pistol and rifle barrel in 6.5x55 Swede. Awesome.

I have a 14" 223 blued barrel on the way as we speak. I hope to have it by Wednesday or Thursday. Man I have a feeling this thing is about to get expensive.

Well the new barrel arrived today. Here is a photo of the complete set up. .223 is on the frame the other is a 10" 44 mag with a T/C 2.5 x 7 lighted scope on it.

I'd rather hunt with a pistol or bow than a rifle, but then again sometimes my hunting may require something that will reach out and touch you. I call it my AT&T weapons.

Just a question to y'all about hand guns.
Any of you remember Bob Milex? Guns & Ammo magazine.
He shot a lot of game animals with a T/C contender' & a Remington XP-100.
I re call .He shot an elk off hand @ 300 yards with 1.
He made several long range shots with his T/C contender.

Here is a 5 shot group shot with the 44mag today off of a rest at 50 yards. Needless to say I think I will keep this one. The smaller hole next to the three shot group is a 223 hole.

By the end of the day we were shooting gongs at 257 yards with this thing. Talk about a great day at the range.

I think I'd hang on to that barrel. A 100yd shooter for sure ;D
