Hey guys. I'm new to the site and I love it. I've never fished much each year but wanna really step up my fishing this year. I'll mostly be after catfish, but wanna catch some largemouth and anything else that bites. Anywase I live in Norman and will be doing most of my fishing at Thunderbird. I haven't fished it yet. Anyone have any experiance out there. Thanks guys.

I've been there a couple of times, but never fished it.

Used to fish there when I was going to OU. You'll catch hundreds of crappie, some nice bass and, if you're lucky, a few saugeye. The saugeye hit like a ton of bricks and fight like a bass that never jumps...watch out for they're teeth and gill covers when landing them though. Some of the best eating there is, too. I caught several in the 4 to 5 lbs range...lots of fun! Right about now, they'll probably be on the rocky points.

This is the time of year you can fish around the twin bridges (where old Hwy 9 goes over the water). The crappie and white bass will be running through there soon.
