Yeah, if this weather holds out, you'll be able to put out a 5 gal bucket of water, and shoot over it. ::) It will be the only waterhole around.

If this heat doesn't break by hunting season, the only hunting I may do is on Xbox 360.

Well, we should have a pond to hunt for dove, & just need enough water for the teal to land in.
Geese plain to hunt on dry land.

I haven't shot dove in forever. They don't fly so well around here for some reason. Plus it always seems we get a cold snap right before opening day and it drives them south before we get to shoot them.

Is there going to be a dove GT?

Was at the farm tuesday to pick up a spare generator for my moms house when we lost power. There are two stubble fields over there covered up in dove! The wheat I planted last fall at the blind for a food plot is still in the head. I'm thinking about doing a little disking in a week or so, and putting in an early food plot. This cooler weather has got me a little more enthused.

Wonder if it would be legal to camo the truck and call it a blind. I could run the AC and shoot out the sunroof. Oh wait. Explorer had a sunroof truck does not. Nevermind.

I'm foaming at the mouth to get out to my lease. Still waiting on my Kenco timers to get in. I might have to take my second choice and pick up some other timers to stick on the barrels.

27th feeders and timers go out. Late I know. file it under To Damn Hot! I keep thinking back to sitting in my truck and staring at the outside temp reading. 8 degrees. I really didn't want to get out of the truck. But my brother in law hadn't seen a live deer all season. Bad luck on the other property.

I'm longing for the mornings of frost covered ground, visible breath, and the peace and quiet of the hunting fields.
