God, I love that stuff. I'm getting 10lbs of it sliced at the processor as we speak.

I have one of the dehydrators with the round trays that I normally use, but a buddy went and bought one of the big units from Cabella's, so it should do a whole lot more.

What recipe do you use for yours?
I do the Soy/Teriaki marinade, with spices sprinkled on it afterward.

Whats a good recipe for deer jerky, purchased a new 5 tray dehydrator this summer for fruit, it was one of the cheaper models ,so I don't even know if it's good enough to make jerky with?

I have a Mr Coffee 5 tray. I bought 2 extra trays. I use the hi mountain seasoning and cure. I've seen it at Wally world and bass pro. Almost every processor I've gone to sells it. It's all good.

I got my recipe from the Outdoor Oklahoma Magazine many years ago.
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup teraki sauce
1/4 cup worchestershire sauce.
Marinate for about an hour, put on the trays, and sprinkle what seasonings you like on the pieces.
I go for cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and black pepper.
The recipe is already salty with the Soy sauce, so I tend to stay away from pre mixed seasonings like cajun seasonings etc, as they contain mostly salt.

Yes.
Got one for X-mas about 3 years back & love it.
You can make flat or tube jerky with it.

I have some jerky seasonings which I've use in the past, but I have 2 sausage seasoning packs that I want to try. I just need to get some ground pork to mix with it. I don't want to use pork sausage because I don't want to mask the seasonings, and I would like to get it from a wild hog. Just don't have access to any! :( Any offers to put me on some? :D
