Thank you sir for the welcome message, I need to check post more often. Went out west of Plainview Tx last week to hopefully chase a few birds and get my shorthair to burning some energy. Walked 6 miles hunting corners and got up one pheasant did not even try to shoot,,,, I says to myself and Hank the tired shorthair.if this is the only rooster in the country he deserves to live Amen... dry dry dry out west. I pray for all of us to hear one more quail whistle. Yall have blessed day.

Lots of birds in that thicket! I'm pretty sure we caught two nice coveys loafing together. Most birds I've seen take flight at once in a long time.
