Family gathering for the 4th.

Son in law, coming from IL is a craft beer connoisseur. I like him.

Any suggestions on an over the counter OKC local craft beer I can buy to serve him?

Any suggestion on Brew Pubs or Craft beer Brewery local to Edmond-Guthrie-North OKC where I can send him.

Here's a link that might help some. Craft Beer | Breweries Along OKC's Ale Trail

Liquor stores in CO would have all the different beers in individual cans and you could create your own 6 packs. Way cool idea but doesn't seem to have caught on here yet.

I like an IPA from Skycloud but haven't been to their brewery. Angry Scotsman is a cool hangout but I didn't find any beers that knocked my socks off. Twisted Spike is another pretty cool place but on a busy street. There are more downtown area - don't visit North side or Edmond much. Looking at the map Roughtail is close to Edmond. They have the ERWO(Everything Rhymes With Orange) IPA which is a big seller but not a very hoppy IPA - more fruity than my likes.

Coop Ale has some really good beers too. Their tasting room is quaint but way South from you. They're supposed to be building/moving into something downtown I think just hasn't happened yet.

There are several really cool breweries in the OKC area making some excellent beers. Find out what style he prefers (IPA, Brown Ale, Stout, Sour, Wheat Beer etc.) first and then you can narrow down your options to some choices that he'll likely really enjoy.

I love IPA's and sours. For local IPAs I strongly recommend Everything Rhymes with Orange by Roughtail Brewing, AstroDog by Stonecloud Brewing and F5 by COOP. There are several really good sours being produced in the OKC area but you can't go wrong with my favorite Vape Tricks by Prairie Partisan Ales. Most should be available in any decent liquor store in the area.

Pre-Covid a buddy and I spent a wasted (in more ways than one) day doing a self-guided tour of the then existing breweries in OKC. We started at Roughtail about 10:00 AM and ended at Anthem sometime in the late afternoon. We were escorted about by a friend that chooses not to drink to excess leaving us to try whatever suited our fancy. Lots of super beers, friendly people, good food and laughs. Plus all your money stays local. I'd strongly recommend you taking him on a similar tour if he's game to drink a bit with his FIL. OKC really is a bit of hidden gem in the craft beer world show it off!

I’m an IPA guy. I love the craft beers with a high IBU which results in a slight grapefruit taste and higher alcohol content.

It's a side bonus to the grapefruit flavor the IBU give the beer.
If your gonna pay for the inflated price craft beer there had better be a bonus! :ROFLMAO:
