Went out to Kaw lake today. The smaller males were in closer to shore but only caught one slab female and she was in deeper water. It's amazing how late the spawn in this year. I'd heard on TV that April was the coolest month in the states history from the 1800's when records were first kept.
I'm starting to get reports of the crappie getting more shallow, so let the fun begin.

I saw that report as well, also said it was one of the driest, heck I thought it rained almost every weekend there for a while.
