Looks the same down here in Okmulgee county. About an inch on the ground, like a fool I went and got in a tree tonight. It was nice seeing everything get painted white but only seen one little yearling.
I’ve never had luck sitting in a snow storm. I think the critters know they are going to be more visible and hunker down.
Eventually though they have to start moving around to feed.
Back in the 90’s after snow was on the ground for a week, a buck that is now on my wall stepped out in the wheat field.
The blood spatter in the snow behind it was impressive. The 165 grain HP did an impressive job.
