We had several major NWR just East of were I grew up. I remember times in the fall that the sun would be blocked out by the shear numbers of ducks and geese headed south. I remember a fishing trip on a lake that sat right between one of the NWR and the Columbia River. We didn't stay that long as the noise of the passing ducks and geese was so loud. You could have limited out with a blind fold on.
