The crappie fishing is hot right now.

1-2 FOW. I used a 1/16th ounce head jig with a white sparkly body, about 2' under a float. Cast into shallow water around rocks, and retrieve very slow.
Probably caught 60 or so. Lots of small fish. Brought 15 home.

Nice job.

Kids begged me to take them out last night. Was out from 5-10pm. My 7 year old got the only 2 fish a blue and channel cat both under 8". Had lots and lots of good bites on live shiners but nothing taking it. Most all the fish were 6-10' around cover.
I used a variety of jigs with the same results as a straight hook.
Should have gone with the night crawler like my son lol.
