Thought ya'all would like a look @ what you get back when you call in a banded bird.
The goose,I shoot was banded only but a mile from where it was banded close to 9 years ago.

Thats pretty awesome! ;D
You'll have to hang it off of a lanyard on one of your duck calls.

Bird,
The Canada goose,I shoot was banded close to the Meers store & restaurant.
I'm sure she got around,Yet she never migrated down to Mexico & back.

Dennis,
That is where, I put it.
On my call lanyard. ;D

This was the 1st bird band certificate, I got with grid coordinates.
Typed them into Goggle Earth & got a good idea abouts where she was banded at.
That is way to cool. 8)

They don't do it anymore as far as I know, but back in the day, they released lots of weather baloons. If you found one, you got $25. I found one on my uncles lease land. It had been there for awhile, but they still gave me the money. I was also quail hunting on Kaw Lake WMA and found a baloon with a card on it with a day care in Witchita Ks, hanging on a willow branch. It had a return address, so I sent it back and got a card from some kids in the day care that wanted to know how far it went. Pretty cool I thought. ;D
