Hey everyone, new here. I don’t have Facebook or any of that other crap that does nothing but piss everyone off lol. Love to hunt and fish and really just seeing what my fellow outdoorsmen are up too. I have a wife, 4 kids and I’m an engineer for a company locally owned. Somewhere along the way I’ve lost all my so called friends and find my self experiencing a lot of the great outdoors alone (wife likes to hunt but we have no babysitter) and my kids are still a little too small in the britches to be going on my more serious hunts.
I guess the end goal is to find some like minded decent folks to maybe go on some hunts together, and/or at least share knowledge of the woods and hunting tactics. I do all of my hunting in archery only areas on public grounds (don’t have land of my own and this allows for less competition in the woods), and I’ve got many miles of boots on the ground in the Cherokee and Cookson GMA areas, along with Fort Gibson Corp land and have gotten proficient at reading Topo’s and Areal maps for locating key hunting spots. Attached are some of the scraps and sheds I’ve found this year so far. Also, if you like hog hunting, I know where some awesome spots are.

Welcome! Mind me asking what part of the state the sheds came from this year? Not the WMA - just general like NW, NE, SE, SW. Reason being is we have property which is Eastern OK but South of I-40 and bucks haven't dropped yet. Going to check this weekend - maybe the changes in temps and such? Anyhow, good finds!
Hey no problem at all. Hell these management areas are so big I’d be highly impressed if a guy could pinpoint where the sheds came from just from mentioning the name hahaha. The last 3 times I went out I’ve found sheds. But only 1 of the 3 was a recent (this year) shed. Area is Cherokee WMA close to Muskogee and lake tenkiller.

I saw 5 bucks today with full head gear. Supposed to get more snow tonight so who knows when they will start dropping them off. I’m sure a few have and they just look like does.

You’re supposed to get more snow? Where about do you live? It sure seems really late for bucks to still have horns. Doesn’t it?

We don’t talk to him much. He’s usually busy chasing elk, bear, antelope and making the rest of us just a little jealous, you’ll catch on!
Thanks for sharing that info, pretty neat keeping up with everyone’s experience this year with sheds and comparing with everything diggler1833 has shared out his way. Pretty crazy state we live in. Wish Kelulu was a deer hunter also and could give some info from the panhandle.

Welcome to Oklahoma Hunter! I'm in the NC part of the state but love that area you're in around one of my favorite lakes in Ok. Tenkiller.

Oh ok. Never been to NC. Grew up on and all around tenkiller. Great Turkey hunting around the lake as well.
Pretty open country around here. Nothing but barbed wire fence between us and the North Pole. Wind blew the barbs off the fence many years ago though......

I think he thinks NC is North Carolina vs North Central OK. 🤣😂🤣
For sure when they say Kansas and Nebraska are useless to look at. Best part about driving through them is at night. Your imagination takes over as to what your missing vs was your not actually missing.

I’ve said y’all should come hunt out here. So far I’ve got one taker possibly for this falls bear season. Hell while y’all are chasing thunder chickens in a month with scatter guns I’ll be chasing black bears with a smoke pole.
