This would be interesting to find. Makes you wonder how it got there.

Thats amazing. Surprised the rodents didn't eat it up over the years. What are your plans for that?
Back when the WMA North of Pawhuska had it's first controlled hunt, a friend that is now deceased found a lever action rifle grown into a tree trunk. He slipped back in there and cut that section of tree out like yours. He made a coffee table with it.

Is it possible that pic was photoshopped? Only thing I could see is if a buck shed it on a smaller tree and somehow the tree grew around it. Weird though

also baby, the way you phrased that it sounded like you found that picture online. If you took it then of course I’m not accusing you of photoshopping🤓🤓🤓

I think that picture could be legit, because it looks like there was a knot hole in the tree at one time where the antler is resting, but it would’ve had to have been pretty low on the tree.
I found a shed last year hanging in a tamarack.

That is awesome! Any photos of the lever action found in the tree? I’d sure like to see that. Both pieces would be really cool to have.
I can definitely understand the lever action getting lost. Six years ago I leaned the Winchester up against a tree so I could make a bathroom stop, I zipped up turned around and the rifle was gone. A Winchester blends in with absolutely everything in the deer woods i don’t know how I did it but I took one step to far to do my business I guess because I looked around for 30 minutes before I found the rifle. The woods I hunt are thick as can be so it’s not like there was only one tree.

Wish I had photo's. As earlier said, he has passed away. Cancer from having a chew in his mouth 12 hours a day got him.
When at the funeral, we suspect some of his "friends" ransacked the mobile home he lived in, taking everything of value which wasn't much.
As a final insult, tied a chain to the electrical/breaker panel outside and ripped all the wiring out of the walls for the copper.
He was much younger than myself, a nephew of my best friend and lived a rough life with drug abuse but he was a good person in his heart.
We tried to get him on the straight road several times, and he wanted to, but the lure of the drugs kept pulling him back into that life.

I’ll never understand why some folks act the way they do. It’s just sad that while mourning the loss of a friend or loved one you’ve got to worry about who is trying to rob them blind. Society has gotten so far off track.

It's a common problem. When my mom passed away, we had a house sitter stay at the home while the funeral was going on. Happens everywhere.

Disgusting. Honestly it’s heart breaking to think you can’t trust your neighbors or a “friend” when it come down to it. Had an ex military guy I worked with told me all the time you can trust your friend with your life but not your money or your wife.

I think he found that pic online and reposted it. Someone with chainsaw skills or wood working skills could make that into a fantastic piece.
