Couldn't go this morning, as I had to go to work for a bit, but went out this afternoon.
Saw nothing until 30 minutes before dark.
Had does coming in over 300 yds away, but they were just skittish as heck. They were upwind, so I knew it wasn't me.
Looked to the west, and saw a coyote 1/4 mile away crossing a wheat field, and finally spotted a short legged, short tailed mountain lion in the grass between the deer and my stand.
They had seen the bobcat, and stayed out until it bacame too dark to shoot.
So, nothing for me on the last day.

We still have christmas gun, and archery until Jan 15, so lots more hunting to go!

Went out both days. Saturday after the rain & all day Sunday.
Didn't see a one. ::) ??? ::) ??? :mad: :mad: :mad:
Sunday evening around 5:00 we heard a shot not but around 200 yards from us.
About 30 minutes later we heard the guy dragging the deer. Turned out to be a good size 8 point.
Wrong place wrong time.

Got the holiday antlerless hunt maybe. "Hog hunting" sounds better.
I'm far over ready to start the waterfowl assassination of 2011-2012.

Went Sat for a while and didn't make it Sunday. Then the guy that's letting me hunt his place said his son saw a whopper right where I had been sitting. Go figure!

I seen a tun of deer Friday on my way to Kansas and only seen a couple on my way back Sunday. Still got an archery tag to fill.
