Brother, you and I are on the same page. Just today, I had a mental pic of the new "patch" I found while sandbass fishing last spring. Its so dry now, I'm sure there won't be any, but there is rain forcast for tomorrow, and that might get them started.

Me and the wifey found 8 today and like a big dumbass I stepped on 3 big ones. Mean arsed wifey unit kicked me in the shins at least a dozen times. ;D

I went to my "patch" yesterday, but it was late in the day, and really dry. We got rain last night, but it in the 40's so I'm sure they won't be out today. Maybe by next weekend they will be popping out.

Battered, fried and dipped in homade ranch dressing is my favorite way so far.

Turkey birds were out thick today & the snow don't bother them.
A few years back on opening day it was snowing,I bagged 1 first thing in morning.
Another long week to go till... BOOM TIME.

I just checked the game seasons, and rabbit closed on March 15 :'( :'(

I have to work this saturday, but will be off/on call Sunday, but maybe I'll get out then or Monday when I'm off.

Was out shooting Sunday and the bro-in-law came up with a dozen morrells and the wifey went out today and found a batch as well. I'm as full as a tick!
