These toms actually came up and pecked on the windows, so my wife took some pictures. ;D ;D

Turkey dinner for days.... ;D
Hey Dennis can I come over...:)

There is a field out by my kids school where I see a huge grouping of turkeys every day. Lots of toms out in the bunch strutting around. Wish I knew who owned that land I'd beg for permission to spring turkey hunt.
Ask those around that area on who owns it.
Then work on the concept of "why would I want you to hunt my land"
If you want to find out who owns the land, go to the county courthouse, and ask for a plat map of that area. It will list the owner of each property in that area. Its kind of expensive to get one of the whole county, but some of them will make a zerox copy of a particular area for a lot less. They charged me a dollar a sheet to get some for western Kay county.

Doh sorry I misread your original post.. Yeah I hadn't considered checking out who owns the land that way. Thanks for the advice, I think I will take it and find out for next season..:)
Its a pretty common thing to do. I get calls on occasion from somebody that has done that looking for a place to hunt. What little places I have to hunt are taken by my best buddy. I don't even hunt on my place, I hunt on a guys place that did just that, and he has tons of money. He bought land there to hunt and we just met .His hunting is better than mine so.....I've done what has to be done, and pretty much have full run of his place. Again, I don't assume anything and make sure that he knows when I'm going to be there, and volunteer for whatever project he has in mind. ;)
Yep I may have to look into finding somewhere..I had never even considered looking at who the land owners are using that method. Thanks for the tip. Never know who you might meet and become friends with.
Hey Gauge, at that range do you think I could hit one of these birds???????
I don't see why not buddy.
O' as long as you got a gun and not a bow my friend.
Your much better with a gun buddy ;D
