From another forum about a new no lead bullet that is all brass that once it hit an animal, it sheds 6 petals to cut more tissue than just a mushroom. Of particular intrest to 5.56 shooters is that they have a 40 grn bullet that kills deer dead on contact and does not tear up meat. Look towards the last several pages to see pics of the 40 grn results.
In another thread a guy is testing 6.8SPC .277 dia bullets on hogs in Texas with great results..

Do you have a link?
Okla requires a 55 grain bullet or larger for deer. Wonder if they make such a thing?
If its brass, its lighter than copper or lead. It must be a really long, sleek bullet. That would sure give it a great BC and make it fly accurately.

Pretty ugly looking exit wounds.
He did mention it wasn't designed for really long ranges.
Maybe the design requires a higher velocity to make the bullet operate properly?

That and they are still in the R&D stages, but dang, those hogs look like a broadhead went thru them!
