We went just South of Dodge City, KS. We slayed em. It was a preserve, but they still flushed just the same. They have awesome dogs and cooked for us. Nice cozy lodge. This might be a good place gfor a GT.
And this was only one day. We got just as many the next day.

Nothing but nice.
What are the cost Smokewagon? A future G.T. for Pheasant their might just happen.
That is a nice set of birds!
Kansas had a lot more birds last year than Ok. They didn't get the 60" of rain at nesting season. :'(
Nice Birds!!! I would ALMOST tear off my right arm for a pheasant hunt like that!
I'd keep my right arm, wouldn't have anything to pump the shotgun with, but they are some danged fine birds there. I sure miss bird hunting.

I used to bird hunt with a gentleman that lost his right arm and lower leg in WW2. He used a pump shotgun, model 12 Winchester. He carried it by the pistol gip on his shoulder. On the flush, he would swing it down, take the shot, if he needed to shoot again, he would pull it from his shoulder, and in a quick move would let it drop, catch it by the pump, pump it, and shoulder it again. He was so smooth at it, that it didn't look awkward at all.
I was real young, and didn't know he had the wooden leg until his son and I were throwing darts in his house one day, and he walked thru the doorway just as I threw. The dart stuck in his leg, and he didn't even flinch
Gauge, it would be an awesome place for a GT. Go to hunttrailsend.com and check it out.
I sure will & thanks for the info Smokewagon.

Gauge, I just found one of my flyers. A 2 day hunt is $375 plus the outa state license, which I believe was less than $20. This includes 2 nights lodging and all meals and 6 pheasants per day. You can shoot more but theres an extra charge per bird. Not sure how much. They also clean and package the birds. They also have good dogs or if you have your own they are welcome also.
Thats not too bad
