Hello to all you hunters, etc. I have been hunting in Oklahoma and other
states since the early sixties, some times before that but never alone, I have been hunting alone since 1961. By the way I am movieman45, the infamous. I will not bore You with all my hunting lies. I have a serious subject that I wish to share with You. I was reading in here the other day about Bass Fishing. There was copy in the article by a gentleman
from back east somewhere, I can't remember where. I remember that
he kept quoting Thomas Jefferson, about our second amendment rights,
and the malitia in those days. I tried to respond at the time but could not get into the correct format, being a computer novice. What I wanted to say was that when I was in the first grade, that was in 1951,
My teacher was in Her eighties, it was a one room school and the classroom had students from the first grade through 12th grade. Any way back to My story. She taught us that the second amentment was
added to the bill of rights to protect "The People" from the Government
who had at it's beck and call a militia that they could use as they saw fit. This was so importent to the founding fathers that is was the second of the ten amendments rattified by the states. The People had recently learned from their british protectors just how easily the armed malitia could take advantage of the citizens they were there to protect. I believe that this truth has been lost to most people over the
many generations since. But it is as true today as it was then. My teacher by the way was taught that by Her teachers Who had been taught it by people who had learned it from people who had first had knowledge of the situation. As Forest Gump said "thats all I have to say about that". Reguards, movieman45.

Your absolutly correct, and that is why I use Thomas Jefferson in every one of my posts ;D
Texas was the first, and now oklahoma has told the federal government they will now abide by the latest federal rules. I will look that up and post it as I find it.
