I "got sick at work about noon" and made it out to the woods around three pm.
It was the perfect day in the woods... the trees were in their full fall color, no wind, 65 degree temp with a front coming thru, and every critter in the woods was making noise. I hung my MZ on a limb, and got the camera out. It was nature at its finest. Fall in the deer woods. ;D

Saw pheasant and quail working the edge where my stand is located, and birds chirping every where. Crows harassed an owl about 100 yds away, and then two does came by. I guess I was just not in the mood to take anything as the evening was so enjoyable just sitting there taking it all in.

Stayed there until the coyotes started hunting at dusk and walked the 1/2 mile back to truck knowing that I'd had a succesful hunt. ;D

Nice pic's Dennis. Some of the best hunts are just like you described and that's the whole reason I hunt.
