The military has been testing different platforms and calibers for the infantry.
i keep reading about different platforms and then they fade.
This company seems to be focusing on the lethality of the 5.56 ammo.

Sorry Dennis, I hate constantly coming onto your posts and being negative. I promise that it is nothing towards you at all  . You are cool in my book man!

Made it 4:05 into the video and noticed a few things.

1) I bet Badlands sponsored this video and the creator shilled a lot. It's YouTube.

2) "Cheaper", yet the video thumbnail has a Barnes bullet...which is 4x the cost of a FMJ...so no. More lethal? If a Barnes bullet, yes...but the high-speed, low-drag guys have had access to 70gr Barnes bullets in their ammo for years. Look up "brown tip" IIRC. As a matter of guessing...I'd bet $$ that Osama Bin Laden ate a couple of 70gr Barnes over a decade ago.

3) High pressure rounds are going to eat that bolt, BCG, and barrel up. No way is that getting adopted. Especially because a lot more units are getting suppressors, which will just exacerbate that pressure issue. Line units do not get adjustable gas blocks...one more thing to screw up and end up with a weapons malfunction in a gunfight.
