I was on my way home yesterday, and saw a nice flock in a wheat field. I got a good pic of two toms in full strut. ;D
I forgot to bring the camera back to work today to download the pictures, but, I'll do it tomorrow. ;D
Nice flock Dennis.
I believe, I seen a beard hen in with that flock. 1st pic.
Were the 4 turkeys are in a line north to south to the right of the strut'n Tom, The top bird. It's got a beard & a blue head.
Today was a nice morning full of turkeys. ;D
We went out to go check on a new weel site for a way of water supply.
On the way out their we seen 3 Toms cross the road.
Just before we got to the gate, in a open pasture we seen close to 100 turkeys.
On the way back from the weel site, I saw 2 hugh toms sport'n 10"-11" beards nomore then 30 yards away from the truck.
The 1 had a 3"-5" thick beard & close to 11" long if not longer.
He was also on private land, they charge $300.00 a Tom - if you want to turkey hunt on their land. Crazy.
The weather we had this morning realy got the turkeys moving around today.
I lost count within a 5 mile radius.
They were all over the place this morning.
I just can't wait to lay the hammer down come sunday.
Heads are gonna roll. ;D
