I took my son with me the other day to try squirrel hunting. He didn't actually get to cary a gun but I wanted a picture of both of us with our guns.
We didn't see a single squirrel that afternoon because it was too windy and early (not to mention little kids don't walk very quiet. 😁) but we had a lot of fun wandering around 1500+ acres of woods.

Get those kids started young!
Surprised that pond is so full. Most around here are dry.

Private land. A customer is letting me hunt on their property and I will be the first squirrel hunter on that land in over 20 years.
Find a spot in the trees and just sit and wait for awhile. Probably pick a few off before too long.

I'll probably be sitting on their back porch this time as they want the squirrels thinned out around the house. I am looking forward to seeing how my Sheridan silver streak 20 caliber pellet gun does on squirrels.

I imagine it will put a thumping of a hurt on them. How far out will it shoot and still hold a good group on squirrel sized game?

That depends on who is shooting. 😁 I am good to less than 25 yards. I will be able to do better with my other guns when I get them scoped but for now I am going to limit myself to under 20 yards because of the open sights and my eyes just aren't that good.
I can hit a soda can the majority of the time at 44 yards but the shots are all over the can.

Guy over by Grove Oklahoma had a half section of pecan trees. I ran around with his grandson in high school.
The squirrels were robbing all the pecans. Since it was a commercial operation, he wanted the tree rats gone. Buddy invited me to spend a week over there during the summer staying in his grandpas house. Said he would feed us and supply shotgun shells.
$2 bounty per tail.
All I had at the time was a single shot H&R .410.
Buddy had a single shot 16 ga.
We left there with a lot of bounty money in our pockets. Wouldn’t be much now, but in the late 60’s it was good.

Heck. I'd be more than happy to do it for free especially with free ammo!

8 dryers, 2 washers and a fridge kept me too late so I didn't get to go hunting. 😔
Appliance sales? My son does that with used. Fixes and then resells them.

No just two laundry mats with machines down and a customer with a fridge leaking. I was hoping to finish up by 2:30 but I finished at 6:00 and then after dinner got another call and went back out to help a friend install a PTAC unit in an apartment.

Mainly appliances but it's a hopping business. There is virtually no competition. We all refer each other when we are too busy or another guy specializes in what the customer needs.
I did heating and air since 2014 but I quit that job a few weeks ago.

My eldest son does appliance repair and resell. He makes some good change at times. Not so much with this inflation.
