We have been getting lots of yard visitors with this heat/drought. The deer have been draining the bird bath, so we put out supplemental water for them. I'm going to hang a trail cam and see what's coming in at night.

Saw a report on the local news about baby hawks and other birds and baby squirrels jumping out of their nests because it's so hot. I tell ya, I try to stay out in it some just to get a bit acclimated to it. But I don't know how those folks lived during the dust bowl days in a shack and having to really toil for a living. They was tuff, for sure.

When I was a kid we didn't have ac. Just a water cooler for the daytime.
Now in the power plant, 140 degrees is not uncommon. We have to cycle in and out and do a little cool down, but overall, its pretty miserable in the summer time.
