Everyone of the tested calibers will take a whitetail given the correct bullet and placement.

They all work and we can all argue all day about which worked better.

He did qualify his credentials to conduct this test, with his comment, "25-06...never heard of it."

 

If you made me pick one of those rifles and optics to hunt with... I'd be making stinky faces the entire time I was out in the field.

Then there is the "best rifle for which areas/conditions" argument.

The top 10 list videos are always done for clicks. I had wanted to do one for thermal hunting cartridges a couple years ago, but I couldn't bring myself to be part of the crowd.

 

The best rifle foe hunting is the one in your hand. No one will go into the field with a gun they don't like.
