These deer and turkey were in our yard, about 200 yds away

About an hour later, the deer showed up in our front yard about 60 yds away eating some of the acorns that were left over from the fall drop. They are hungry with all this snow, and are tossing caution to the wind looking for food. There was a dandy 12 point that was out there, but he went across the fence before I could get the camera ready. These are from the front door through the glass.

The turkey on the far right looks like it is fixin to do the splits.
Cool pictures.
they were running when the pic was taken. We had a really good acorn crop in the 15 or so blackjack trees in our yard, but they are just now getting around to eat them. I've seen some tracks in the fall but they are brave enough(hungry enough) to come out in the day time now.
We have a heater in our bird bath in the back yard , and I'd have given good money to have taken a pic of the spike buck getting a drink out of it.

I've been seeing large numbers of deer on the way home each evening in places where I've never seen them before. Guess they are hungry and deservidly so.
