Someone needs to do a rain dance or something because if we do get a good rain I won't have a pond all. We have 3 bad grass fires in the area. I hope this freeze has killed the fish the pond.

You’d be amazed at how hardy fish are in cold water. So long as it doesn’t freeze solid they should be just fine.

I will delete the other one for you since this one has replies to it.

We’ve been over 2 months without measurable rain at our pond. There is a lot of bank exposed.

We are starting to check a few ponds for cattle getting bogged down in the mud. Stupid bovines will try to drink out of a mud bog when there’s a good pond with a rock bank just over the hill.

We have a new pond that will never go dry. It was silted in so bad it would go dry every summer.
Leasee needs water for his cows so he dug it out with a track hoe so deep he hit ground water. Never go dry.

I told you to run the garden hose out to it and fill it back up.
